The city balneary João Raposo, in Valença, is known as Índia Waterfall for having, on a lake formed by a waterfall, a bronze sculpture by Vilma Noel, an artist from New York. The statue is a combination between an indigenous woman and a mermaid. It was donated to the city by artist Luiz Figueiredo. Within a spacy and urbanized area, the location has a restaurant, a bathroom, soccer and volleyball courts.
