The Rocha Leão Reading Room is within the Guilherme Nogueira Railway Station Cultural Center and opened to the public in 1999. Its 1,500 title collection comprises textbooks, literature, and children and adolescent literature. It has recently received 2 computers which are made available to the general public. Since the focus of the library is on the books, though, internet research is limited to those who have not found adequate material within the collection on the reading hall.

The Railway Station Cultural Center operates at the former Rocha Leão Railway Station. Its construction was made through slave labor, from 1877 to 1887. Unpolished stone walls were placed with manure and are responsible for the bucolic feel of the place. The roof is built on French roof tiles imported from Marseille (France), and are still well preserved.

The building went through restoration work and became a cultural center in 1999. It also has a Railway Museum with a permanent exhibition of objects and documents from the former Leopoldina Railway Station.
