Os Zéz

Highlights - Teresópolis

The movement Os Zéz was born in 2013 to break the cultural monotony in Teresópolis. Created by musician and producer Celso Guimarães and by singer Renata Zé, who, together, promote shows and music events where the stage is open for local music masters and new talents.

On its first event at Casa de Cultura Adolpho Bloch (Adolpho Bloch House of Culture), 20 samba, jazz, MPB, Hip hop, reggae and ska musicians performed, including Celso and Renata. He is a percussionist, he has lived in the United States for 25 years and has played with Sting, Simply Red and Celine Dion. She is the events' master of ceremonies, reciting poetry, cheering the crowd and singing MPB.

The shows became known as "Os ZéZ na Praça". Word of mouth, social media and local commerce help with the event's publicity. "Teresópolis shuts down after a certain hour. No open bars, no parties. We want to make artistic events and give an opportunity for people to have something to do", say Celso e Renata.
