Imbuí Waterfall

Other Attractions - Teresópolis

Originating from the Paquequer River, three natural pools can be seen in a large rocky plateau. The 20 meter high Imbuí Waterfall completes the landscape in a large volume waterfall which forms rapids during the summer. Forest surrounds the area with moss and hydrangeas. A rail was built in the area, covering the extent of the waterfall to offer a great and safe view for tourists. Bathing is not permitted. The Imbuí Waterfall is of historical importance and is cited in works such as the novel "O Guarani", by José de Alencar.
