Eunice Nazário

People - Volta Redonda

Artist and sculptor, Eunice Nazário also participates in movements in defense of racial minorities in the city. Blacks and Indians are always present in her works, where masks appear frequently. Nazário uses materials like terracotta, ceramic, paper mache clay and collage in her art, which she had learned by herself.

Nazário has had works exhibited at Volta Redonda Technical Culture Institute, in the Modern Art Museum in Rio de Janeiro and at the Tancredo Neves House of Culture, in Vassouras. The Minas Gerais native raised in Volta Redonda hopes that the appreciation of her works makes people question about the inequalities and discrimination that persist in the modern world.
