The Casa do Nós Cultural Center offers free workshops on storytelling, reading, dancing, karate, guitar, lighting, percussion, improvisational theater and capoeira (a Brazilian martial art that combines dance, acrobatics and music).

The project is held in partnership with Sesc Rio and Nós do Morro Group and aims at expanding the successful experience of Nós do Morro, which offers training courses in the areas of stage and screen acting for young people in Morro do Vidigal in Rio de Janeiro. Casa do Nós Cultural Center fosters theatrical performances that value regional themes and traditions. Their first play, Nós Em Cenas, premiered in November 2005 and was performed for ten months.

Their second, Saqua Santa - Cidade do Barro, was performed from December 2006 to July 2007. The group also staged the show Canta Que Eu Conto ? Quem Conta Um Conto Aumenta Um Ponto for children. Every two weeks, they also stage Show das Ondas, a game show which combines theater, music, dance and poetry, open to participants. Casa do Nós has a small theater with 60 seats as well as the Renato Aragão Cultural Tent (the name given to arena-like theaters, administered by local governments), which hosts theatrical performances and film screenings.

The 300 seats and equipment used at the tent were donated by the family of comedian Renato Aragão. The Casa do Nós Cultural Center is a unit of the Project Ponto de Cultura
